Absinthe is back after being banned for some time. Absinthe is again free to be enjoyed by drinkers of the famous liquor. After being under a cloud of suspicion, absinthe has shaken off all aspersions and is back to regaling its patrons. Today, absinthe finds itself again in the company of other members of its ilk. Absinthe drinking has again started off a tradition of use and is enjoyed the way other liquors are enjoyed.

Absinthe regains its place among other spirits

After being banned for a long time, absinthe has once again hit the bars. Use of the drink was banned in early 20th century owing to many unsavory effects attributed to the drink. Drinking absinthe was believed to cause hallucinations. Some people had convulsions after drinking it and died. Violent behavior got stuck to its image after incidents involving violence on the part of users.

After a while, though it got clear that the drink had suffered at the hands of certain manufacturers. To cash in on the popularity of the drink, certain manufacturers produced the drink by mixing some toxic chemicals to it. These ingredients caused all the problems and subsequently gave the drink a bad name.

Now that the ban has been lifted, many manufacturers have started producing absinthe in the original time-honored tradition. A perfect experience of drinking absinthe not only involves drink that is prepared in the correct way, but also one that uses the special manner associated with its drinking.
