Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

A well known beverage in most European countries is absinthe alcohol. Admired as “green fairy”, absinthe dates back to the eighteenth century. But unfortunately with time few countries restricted trade of this remarkable drink due to formation of laws against alcohol.

Always there has been misconception regarding the ingredients present in absinthe beverages. The green fairy is completely a natural drink extracted from wormwood and contains many herbs as well. Discovered by Dr. P. Ordinaire from France, absinthe serves as all-purpose-remedy. Originally a creation of France, absinthe in French language is more popular as green fairy. If we look at absinthe history; it seems to be an amazing gift to mankind. Absinthe was originally used for medicinal purposes; also thujone (hallucinating element) is a key absinthe ingredient.

Absinthe ingredients are mostly cultivated in countries where production of this beverage is done. A green plant absinthium is the source of absinthe, this plant is about one meters tall and has medicinal use. The plant is bitter, as well as little aromatic in nature. In addition the plants which constitute absinthe drink are grand wormwood, petite wormwood, fennel, hyssop and anise. Commonly all the ingredients are mixed and then distilled together. Also some producers distill wormwood, fennel and anise separately and later mix them.

Moreover true quality ingredients ultimately bring true absinthe effects. The fact is that drinks won’t give expected special effects until and unless they are prepared from natural ingredients. Often there is a misunderstanding that absinthe liquors are made from artificial or chemical ingredients. It must be very clear that quality absinthe contains neither artificial substances nor colorings. All absinthe ingredients are first carefully selected and then moved for processing in an attempt to guarantee good flavor (taste). Although produced from natural ingredients, absinthe undergoes modern techniques of distillation to assure safe consumption for consumers.

Another things is that absinthe alcohol can blended with other liquors such as vodka, rum, brandy so as to enjoy wonderful cocktail drinks. The extraordinary content in absinthe alcohol is the reason for its high alcoholic concentration. Therefore absinthe is rated as the best liquor in the world, since it is crowned as the King of alcohol. Sales of absinthe drinks have dramatically gone up from last few years, and absinthe online websites contribute a lot. Last but not the least, the whole credit for the amazing rituals of absinthe liquor goes to its natural ingredients.

Does absinthe alcohol made for seduction?

Some might feel that absinthe alcohol seduces an individual and acquire benefit. Actually absinthe drinks are pain relievers, so this is the real reason why it has become extremely popular.

Stress has badly grabbed the people in life. The ones who had experienced or felt the bad effects of stress realize importance to remain stress-free. The fear, danger as well as, threats of stress bring immense pain in day-to-day life. However here absinthe might come as a respite and relieve a person from stress to a great extend.

While in contrast, few anti-alcohol movements’ states-absinthe distributors as people greedy for money. It is matter of fact that absinthe does not play with mind of people but offers seduction in order to reduce stress. According to Psychiatrists, high amount of stress hampers a person’s ability to attain cherished goals in life. Therefore absinthe in this context does not allow a person to get defeated by stress troubles. In deed absinthe liquors seduces only for the advantage of absinthe drinker. Moreover absinthe ingredient need not contain only alcohol; it is truly a blend of many herbs.

Since stress is to be tackled with relaxation techniques. Absinthe drinks can be like a remedy that can deal nicely with stress. While the producers feels absinthe liquors are real good contribution to the group of moderate drinkers in society. It is never a motto of a producer to turn people into heavy drinkers or addicts. It may be noted that alcoholic beverages were earlier produced as a cure for certain diseases. In the same manner, absinthe was created for betterment of society, but unfortunately excess consumption became an evil.

Nevertheless seduction is not only concerned with absinthe beverages. Generally all alcoholic beverages seduce to intoxicate people. In addition it is the decision of drinker to indulge in excess consumption. Also, it will be a biased matter if anyone blames only absinthe manufactures for dangerous seduction.

Another aspect is regarding the absinthe history. It reveals the high presence of thujone element in absinthe which is not wise for intake. The absinthe law for distillers in the modern world is strict on thujone level, as a result the absinthe distributors now believe in quality product.

Lastly understand that absinthe is not totally for seduction factor. Unlike other liquors, absinthe contains beneficial herbs added to it. So it doesn’t require any marketing strategies to prove as the best with regard to presentation and flavor.

Biased approach towards absinthe alcohol.

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Absinthe is often called as the king of alcoholic drinks. Although in few countries this strong beverage is banned because it contains thujone. But it has been proved that less of thujone in modern absinthe beverages is harmless for consumption. Well I feel pity on the countries which has declared absinthe liquor as illegal. On the other hand, many people across the globe are lucky enough to taste and enjoy absinthe in their countries. To name a few are Czech Republic, Germany, Portugal, Spain and so on.

Interestingly there are many other types of liquor which are legal in some countries, where it is illegal to buy absinthe alcohol. To support my statement, I would like to first discuss some alcohol based drinks which are sold legally:-

  • Purely alcohol, neutral spirits are made from fermented substances to produce simply-pure alcohol drink. Neutral spirits may be watered down (diluted), bottled and then sold in market. In addition neutral spirits are commonly used as blending or mixing agent in other products.
  • Vodka is a liquor brand which is generally produced from potatoes, corn, grains and malt (rye). It is distilled and processed to remove the characteristic taste, color as well as aroma.
  • Whiskey is quite popular everywhere because it is prepared with low alcoholic content, as compared to vodka or neutral spirits. The aging period for whiskey is usually between two to twelve years. Besides whiskeys are kept in oak barrels and further flavor along with color is added to it.
  • Gin is another liquor beverage whose name is derived from a French word. Normally gin is prepared from grain neutral spirits savored with berries (juniper berries). Also gin beverages can be aged with an intention to add more smoothness and color.
  • Brandy forms wide range of alcohol based products, particularly distilled from fruit. Most brandy brands are prepared from grape wine and not from grains. Further brandy is required to be aged more or less for two years.
  • Cognac, as the name suggests is a grape brand from a place known as Cognac region of France.
  • Rum is a resultant of distilled sugarcane and other sugar derivatives including molasses. Rum drinks often looks dark in color since they are added with caramel.

All the above described alcohol brands possess certain alcoholic strength. In fact they can be even harmful if consumed in excess like absinthe. Hence it is a biased matter to prevent trade of quality absinthe beverages. Last of all it is proved that absinthe is also a unique drink amongst all other brands.
